Get to know your Serger - Introductory Lesson

Did you get a new serger or overlock machine (or new to you) and are not sure where to start? 

In this 2-hour session, you will receive one-on-one guidance to your machine including each of the following.

• Parts of your machine
• Needles – the differences between each and how/when to change them
• Presser feet – various types and uses
  
• Threading the machine
• Practice stitches
• Overview of different types of fabrics and threads
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting

What You Need to Know:
This class is an introduction to your machine and is geared towards getting you comfortable with the functions on your machine and allowing you to get familiar with sewing terminology. You will leave with sewing samples rather than finished projects.

What You Need to Bring:

• Your serger (overlock machine).
• All machine accessories, including power cords.
• Your machine’s manual if you have it (not required, but helpful).

Machine Rentals are not available for this class.

All classes will take place at Nova Art Studios in North Chelmsford, MA.
